Only The Good Died Young in '21

Goodbye 2021. Hello 2022. Okay, that's done. Now for some broad strokes to evaluate what's past and look forward to what's coming.

The title of today's post sums up all we need to know about 2021. You may recognize its inspiration: a song by Billy Joel, "Only the Good Die Young." So who died in 2021? Let's start with the markets.

Maybe the best way to see who died is to first eliminate who thrived. That would be those who simply bought stock market index funds. (I said it would be broad strokes; but it's pretty spot-on nonetheless.) Anyone who tried to do anything else suffered.

Take hedge funds. They're run by supposedly the best and brightest traders out there. Some suffered, some died, a very few thrived. Ditto for anyone targeting stocks in order to "outperform" the S&P 500. If you focused on tech, even better the FANG stocks, you were golden. All others lined up for execution.

One of the best stock picking hedge funds I personally know was down almost double digits. They're typically killing the S&P by identifying small companies with their superior methodology of finding and investing in companies who will shine in the great investment firmament. In 2021: Down almost double digits compared to an S&P index up almost 25%. (Maybe it was more. I haven't checked the final totals for the year.)

Then there's us. We quite intelligently decided to allocate less to general stock market stuff, more to precious metals. Everything said PMs would eventually shine, even if most of the year they were correcting. We waited patiently. Our reward was a smack upside the head. Oh well, at least we held an outsized cash position to salve the pain somewhat.

So mindless "stocks for the long run" even in the face of the glaring warnings of "overvalued" and "bubbles," etc. Numbers didn't bother them. Dumb but it worked. They triumphed "uber alles." The rest of us died young.

Again, broad strokes to be sure. But not too far from the truth.

What about the rest of the world as we know it? Well, if you've been alive for the whole year - in fact almost the last two years - you know the C-Virus Mess story. We wake up to it every morning. It pummels us throughout the day. Rinse and repeat - endlessly. And "endless" captures the status quo as we wake up to 2022. What's changed? Nothing much. Except this: It does seem the good died young in '21.

You see, there's evidence piled up that a significant percentage of "vaccinated" took it on the chin from the vaccine. Records kept by the government - the VAERS database - have identified hundreds of thousands who suffered adverse reactions in varying degrees, some mild, some very serious. Of the very serious. some percentage continue to suffer, even to the extent of having permanent disabilities. Oh, and thousands, more likely tens of thousands, died after being vaxxed.

Yes, it's really not "misinformation." The deaths have been recorded. Did those who died after being vaxxed die from the vax. Put another way, did the vax cause their deaths? Admittedly proving causation is not a simple matter. But there ways to do so using probabilities. As opposed to an apparent assertion by the CDC that none of the deaths were caused by the vax - none as in NONE - some vociferously disagree. These are qualified and intelligent individuals of varying backgrounds, both in health care, medical and scientific research, as well as those with mathematics and statistic skills that allow them to dig into the official data and derive reasonable estimates of how many likely died from the jabs. Naturally their attempts to bring their evidence to the general public has been censored - again and again. (They must be silenced!)

While I don't know for sure, I suspect most of those who died were basically "good" people. They allowed themselves to be jabbed in the belief that it would protect them and their loved ones from Covid. They may even have believed they were performing some sort or civic duty to help stop the spread of Covid and end the pandemic. Or course, we now know that jabs don't do any of that. While it seems the jabs - if received shortly before getting Covid - may reduce severe symptoms, they don't prevent catching the virus and they don't stop the spread - witness our current situation.

Broad strokes to some extent, but it does seem that, again, only the good died young in '21.

As for '22, we won't touch it with a 10-foot pole at this point. The purveyors of lies, jabs, and mandates remain in control - or so they would have us think. We're still being showered with their poison. Those of us who seek the truth may have some shelter in the storm. But there remain so many who walk through this reign of terror unprotected unaware, really oblivious, to the poison being showered down upon them. They allow the rain to soak them through and through.

Will more of the good die young in '22? Who knows?

When it comes to the markets, it's hard to predict anything that makes a lick of sense. 2021 demonstrated that, if we didn't already know it. All those warning signs didn't make a lick of difference. The good died young anyway.

As for the rest of our world, it's always been rather tawdry and tinsley, particularly if all you see is the sensual material part of it. If you're one of those steeped only in what the five senses perceive, you'll be stuck with whatever the world, the flesh, and let's not forget, the devil doles out. If, on the other hand, you've got a lick of intelligence and good heart, you may want to tune out that unholy threesome and put some quality time into building a spiritual life that can't die young, in fact, can't die at all.

Just a suggestion.
