It Seems "Uncle" Mike Bloomberg Just Can't Let Go
Mike Bloomberg can't let go of the Office of Mayor without at least one more attempt to force everyone to do what he thinks best for them. Now he's trying to force flu vaccinations on all of NYC's kids.
Is he frustrated that he couldn't save us from obesity with his attempt to control a restaurant's soft drink serving sizes?
Even assuming the guy really believes we need him to run our lives at this level, doesn't it still strike you as not only odd but obnoxious, even dangerous, when a government official uses his power to vaccinate your child without asking for your consent? You're already forced by the City of New York to vaccinate your children with at least 15 doses that cover various diseases if you want to send them to school. Where does it end?

On Wednesday, with just three weeks to go until he leaves office, Mr. Bloomberg’s controversial Board of Health is set to vote on new rules that would force children as young as six months old to be immunized each year before December 31 if they attend licensed day care or pre-school programs.Thanks Uncle Mike for looking after all of us. What will we ever do after you're gone?
