Will This Be the Week?

Nothing much happened last week.

Bond yields bounced around, ultimately remaining below their recent highs.

Gold slipped back below 1300 and hasn't given signs of much of a desire to do much more than hover a bit above or below 1300.

The US dollar, having climbed a bit lately, seems a bit tired too, perhaps needing a rest before it - well, what? Continues up, or turns around and slips back into its longer-term bear trend.

As for stocks, they're mostly chopping back and forth. You can see it on the charts.

First, the S&P:

How about the broader NYSE?

Looks like more of the same.

Of course, the Russell Small Cap's been powering higher lately. But even it seems to be settling in to flatter action.

So will this be the week where we finally see at least one of these major asset classes wake up and make a move one way or the other?

We'll have to wait and see.
