Now we're all bankers

Haven't you always wanted to be in the banking business? Well, you are now. Today's WSJ features an article on the latest "bailout" move by the government. It talks about "a move that rivals the breadth of the government's response to the Great Depression. It intertwines the banking sector with the federal government for years to come and gives taxpayers a direct stake in the future of American finance, including any possible losses."

So our stakes are thrown in with the guys that screwed up. Now we're all in the game together. This will go on for years to come.

And it seemed like only yesterday I left the banking business to go out on my own. Ah, what do I know.
