Sharyl Attkisson Has a Lot of Nerve!

Washington reporter Sharyl Attkinson has a lot of nerve going against the media's liberal bias. She's developed a reputation for tough (read: "real") journalism. She's described as a "pit bull." Here's how her drive has been described:
...(it) can also cause her to push stories to the point that colleagues — especially those of a more progressive bent — suspect a political agenda.
We can laugh at the absurdity of this - reporters with a political agenda (liberal) thinking a reporter has a political agenda. But there's a dark side here: the liberal/progressive types in the media don't think they have an agenda. They simply think that their political views are "reality" - nothing biased about them of course.

It's one thing if your political views color your view of the world - as long as you recognize that's what's going on, i.e., that your view is colored. The problem lies in the fact that these media people don't see or understand this. The reason they don't (or won't) wee reality is that they do not recognize any objective reality. They simply operate on the assumption that their political views, which describe the world as they wish it to be, and the world as it really is are, for them, one and the same. In other words (again), they don't recognize that there is any objective reality.

Here's what happens when you have no belief or understanding that there does exist an objective reality outside of what we wish reality to look like: you're left with the "reality" that is imposed by the will of the most powerful people or groups of people among us - a dangerous situation reminiscent of all the fascist/socialist/communist dictatorships of the past (Hitler, Stalin, Mao) and the present (Castro, Mugabe and whole host of petty dictators who would slit your throat in a heartbeat if it served their purposes).

Is that the sort of world you want? It seems it is the sort of world progressives want.
