Over the Weekend: Bill Gates Joins the Clueless
Microsoft founder Bill Gates joined the clueless as he opined about the middle class over the weekend.
Smug mug, eh?
Yes sir. Those "inventions" sure have made the middle class a privileged class, don't you think. After all, it's not like we've got to carry flint with us to start a fire, or fire our Springfield rifles to bag some meat for dinner. We've got not only supermarkets where we can drive our cars (not horses or wheelbarrows) but the internet. We can order stuff online and have it delivered right to our doors.
Being middle class is like being Ghengis Khan or Napoleon.
Don't you get it? You're sitting on top of the world, friends.
Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates, the world’s richest person, said the U.S. economy is strong and that it’s “just nonsense” to suggest current tax rates restrain growth by discouraging innovation.
Gates, whose net worth is estimated at $86 billion, according to the the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, said a person making $40,000 a year is better off now than someone making an equivalent salary decades ago because inventions like the Internet boost the quality of life.
