The Waiting is Finally Over in San Bernadino
Obama's address to the nation yesterday marked the end of a sequence that began with the shootings in San Bernadino. As we posted last time, give it time and the truth will emerge. And it finally did: It was indeed a terrorist attack. The waiting is over.
Meanwhile, on cue, Obama got in front of the cameras yesterday to tell us, among other things:
(Starting to understand why Trump's attracting so many followers these days?)
And so I must be excused from listening to Obama's speech yesterday. Reading the summary in the media told me all I needed to know, and that wasn't much, as expected. One wonders just what it will take for the real problem to be addressed.
Meanwhile, on cue, Obama got in front of the cameras yesterday to tell us, among other things:
"We will prevail by being strong and smart, resilient and relentless..."Naturally, no comments about securing our borders or attacking the problem of massive illegal immigration, but that's par for the course. It's worth repeating that unless these two issues are effectively addressed, all the other verbiage by our President and others about "protecting" us really amounts to very little. Sure, they can catch some in the act of planning an attack, and they likely have. But with an endless supply of actors pouring into our country, there's always someone else right behind them in line. This has been the case every since the 9/11 attacks, when our government did much, including invading Afghanistan and Iraq. But that much did not include controlling our borders and addressing illegal immigration, which continued unabated, and continues to continue unabated. And this under both Republican and Democrat administrations.
