A Solution to the Demographic Time Bomb?
A demographic time bomb ticks for more and more of the world's countries. People aren't having enough babies to replace the current population over time. (I was going to say "families" aren't having enough babies, but the growing in the West is for women to give birth without benefit of marriage - sometimes multiple births with multiple men, a sad but nevertheless growing trend.) The country leading the way is Japan. So the following really grabbed my attention:
Of course, the article discusses the use of clones to reproduce livestock. But given the circumstances, it did get my attention, and it does have me wondering...???
