Fed Ending QE?

(Reuters) - Federal Reserve officials appeared on course to end their extraordinary bond buying stimulus by year end at a meeting last month, suggesting a weak March jobs report may have taken them by surprise.

The Fed distributed minutes of its recent meeting that reveal a discussion about ending "bond buying" which means QE. It sounds like they're agreed that QE needs to end, but there's no agreement on how and when.

Well, if they don't agree on how and when, what's the point? That QE will need to end someday? That's like saying I need to stop smoking someday, but how and when I do it, I'm not quite sure. What meaning does that really have?

A thought: It's just another blurb to let people think they're going to stop printing money like crazy as far as the eye can see. In other words, more propaganda than a reflection of anything under serious consideration.

Why does this smell so much more like propaganda than truth? Even as that report was released, Janet Yellen, Federal Reserve member and purported next head of the Fed, announced her support of Japan's immense money-printing scheme that began earlier this month. As if the Fed's printing isn't enough to keep the world's economies afloat.
