Dow Slips for Fifth Straight Day
What's interesting here is that the Dow was up most of the day then simply, steadily sank, almost waiting for all the online headlines about how the Dow had reversed its losing streak before finally closing in the red. Sometimes I wonder if the Dow isn't some sort of "Mind" that loves to play tricks on the breathless media - kind of like how the ancient Greek gods used to toy with humans for their amusement from time to time.
What's interesting too, is that the Dow closed only 3 points above 15,000 - a kind of psychological resistance point to an even greater correction. Tantalizingly close, but, as the expression goes, no cigar.
So nothing has really changed from the brief analysis we put forth a few days ago.
