A Goldman-Bush Nexus?
The connection between the Bush family and the Saudi family is no secret. And now that Jeb might become a third Bush in the White House, let's look at another connection. Only this one's not exclusive to either the Bush family or their friends at Goldman Sachs.
George Jr. had Goldman's CEO, Hank Paulson, as his Treasury Secretary. Apparently Jeb's got a gaggle of Goldmans:
Wall Street supports them all. This misleading article on Bloomberg implies there's some sort of special connection here. But there's nothing of the sort. Bankers simply cover all bets. What the article doesn't say is who else these same Goldmanites support. Don't be surprised if the same folks are giving to other Twiddle-dees and Twiddle-dums running for president.
Also, that $2,700 from 50 execs adds up to $144,000. A lot of money for you and me but mere chump change for these folks both individually and in the aggregate.
Nope. It's sad but true that influence comes in early and often from Wall Street:

Important people at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. want Jeb Bush to be the next U.S. president. And they’re giving him a lot of money to make it happen.
More than 50 Goldman Sachs executives and employees gave the Republican more than $144,000 in the second quarter, with most of them sending $2,700, the maximum allowed, according to Federal Election Commission filings. What's the link? Something nefarious going on here? Nah.

Goldman Sachs isn’t the only Wall Street firm with employees hoping to see a third Bush in the White House. Credit Suisse Group AG, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase & Co. also were among the top sources of donations. That's the reality of our country's electoral process. Those who've received the extraordinary riches that our inverted economy and financial system piles on a select few get to peddle their influence to everyone. Instead of "No Child Left Behind," a program pandered by George Jr. during his glorious eight years in office, maybe this go-round Jeb can proffer "No Banker Left Behind" - as if they ever could or would be.
